Bat / Bar / B - Mitzvah
Mazel Tov!
The Bat, Bar & Bnai Mitzvah celebration is a moment in the Jewish life cycle that deeply defines a young person’s Jewish identity. The words Bat & Bar Mitzvah literally mean “Daughter & Son of the Mitzvah.” The words Bnai Mitzvah is a gender inclusive way to say “Children of the Mitzvah.”
The celebration often includes a ceremony where the child chants from a Torah scroll & gives a teaching to those present. Preparation sometimes includes a social justice project. And the milestone is marked with a festive party.
Whether you go big or small, the goal is to support and encourage a young person as they assume a greater maturity in their connection to Torah, Jewish identity and Culture.
This beautiful painted metal Tzedakah Box, by Israeli artist Yair Emanuel, is the perfect way to beautify the mitzvah of giving charity. It’s a wonderful way to teach your children the foundational belief of helping others and doing good deeds.
This Tzedakah Box, painted with designs in inspiring shades of blue, is your perfect gift for Bar, Bat and B Mitzvahs, weddings, new home, hostess and thank you gifts.
You can display it prominently in your own home or classroom and remember that nobody is so poor that they cannot help someone in need.
In the center of the design is the word Tzedakah in Hebrew, which means both charity and justice.
